Founders: Nimish is from Bharti, Bennett Coleman and was the Co-Founder & CEO of Vyom Power (solar power EPC); Vikas and Rajeev were at Monnet Ispat for over a decade each. Founded in Sep 2019.

Combines SaaS tools with a network of solutions providers to provide the typical services offered, i.e. carbon measurement across the supply chain, benchmarking, reporting and compliance. 30 clients include Thermax, Delhivery and VW Group. $3M seed round. Founders: CEO Akash was most recently at Arista Networks, co-founders Rohit and Ravi were respectively co-founder and engineer at Arkin Net (acquired by VMware), the fourth co-founder Hemant Joshi (not linked here) is a Founding Partner of Pentathlon Ventures, the SaaS-focused VC firm. Founded in Apr 2022. Comps: GreenStitch (focuses on fashion/textiles, funded by Equirus/IvyCap, Warmup), Fitsol (focuses on manufacturing clients, funded by Transition VC), Sustainiam (also provides certificate issuance and trading, funded by Orios).
Climate focused asset financing and asset monitoring for EVs, EV batteries, solar panels and charging stations. Currently manages over 3,000 assets which largely seem to be three wheeler EVs. $3.5M seed round. Founders: Ishpreet is the founder of Stride Ventures; Vivek, the CEO, is a Director at Stride Ventures. Comps: Revfin (Omidyar); Vidyut (3one4, Saison Capital, Flourish); Perpetuity Capital (angels/family offices).
CO2 removal company. Their tech locks away carbon for thousands of years through “enhanced rock weathering” on farmlands. This TechCrunch article explains the carbon removal process / the tech behind it well. Started out with a pilot on the founders own tea estate in Darjeeling, now scaling up across North Bengal. $12M seed round. Angels in the round: Jason Zhao, Amrendra Singh, Tanmay Bhat, Arjun Soin, Nakuul Mehta, Arjun Ramani, Advaith Vishwanath, Rahul Seth. Founders: CEO Shrey was Chief of Staff at SuperShare and Lead Product Manager at Seekho; Co-Founder & President Sparsh is also the Co-Founder of Dorje Teas. Off-grid zero-emission hybrid power systems for defense, homeland security, disaster management and telecom clients. Customers including DRDO, Indian Railways, Lockheed Martin and Bharat Electronics. Its Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) technology provides energy systems that can be used above 18,000 feet/in temperatures below -35°C. $1M seed round. The founder was with the central government for over twenty years, including as Network and Server Farm Incharge.
Products for the EV ecosystem including AC and DC chargers, solar inverters and a Charger Management System (CMS). Manufacturing is inhouse, incidentally near Kasauli in HP. Clients include VOLTTIC, GreenCell, EzUrja, Infineon. Comps: IPEC, which raised $3M this April. Founders: the CEO was SVP at Delhivery and COO at Superplum (fresh fruit supply chain); the CTO has a PhD in Power Electronics from IIT Bombay and was Head of R&D at ElectroWaves Electronics (UPS manufacturer).
Animal and plant nutrition products, made from insects. Fundraise towards building a Black Soldier Fly factory (i.e., a facility dedicated to rearing Black Soldier Fly larvae) that will process 150 tonnes of feedstock on a daily basis; and global expansion. ₹32CR (~3.8M) seed round. Other investors in the round: Blume Founders Fund, Nitin Sharma (Nexus), Sameer Brij Verma (Northpoint), Anchit Gupta (Samara), David Chen (Equilibrium Capital). Founders: Siddharth (BITS/Kellogg) comes from Intact Infosys (a system integrator); Shivali (TERI, Humbodlt Fellow- Leibniz University) is a waste management expert. Comps: Loopworm (WaterBridge, Omnivore), Arthro Biotech (not funded).
Designs and manufactures EV charging solutions including chargers for OEMs as well as public charging stations. This covers the full suite - EV chargers, connectors, vehicle charging inlets and the Charging Management System (CMS) - for 2 wheelers, 3W and 4W. The company is a key supplier to OEMs including Ather, Bajaj Auto, Greaves (Ampere). Started in 2017. $3M raise in what appears to be the company's first external round. JV between MEHER Group, Deki Electronics and Sungho Electronics.
Nanomaterials for energy storage. Has developed ion-selective membranes that serve as critical components for electrolysers used in green hydrogen production and for redox flow batteries in long duration energy storage (LDES) systems. Existing membranes fall short in durability, efficiency or cost-effectiveness - solving these is critical for the clean energy transition. ₹25CR seed round - Ankur Capital's first deal from Fund III. The startup is Philadelphia and BLR based. The founders are material scientists. Murari has been working on this for the last six years, almost straight out of U-Penn; Nagesh spent 10 years at Thermax and was Founder in Residence at Entrepreneur First.
EV charging network with a dual approach - high-speed DC chargers for highways; along with a decentralized network of chargers in urban hubs. Any electric vehicle owner can purchase the DeCharge charger, install it and start earning as a host while saving on their own charging costs. Built on the Solana blockchain. $2.5M seed round. Other investors in this round: EV3 Labs, Chainyoda Jedis, Levitate Labs. Two of the three founders built a startup offering Metaverse-as-a-Service to brands; the third was Head of Blockchain at Chingari. Comps: Greenie Energy, funded last December. Greenie is focused on the India market, DeCharge seems to be building for a global market.
